Solvent Yellow 21
Solvent Yellow 21 (C.I. 18690) is a cost-effective oil-soluble solvent yellow dye. Completely insoluble in water, it dissolves readily in oil-based solvents such as esters, aromatics, and ketones. With a heat resistance of approximately 200°C, it offers excellent processing stability and minimal batch-to-batch color variation. It is a widely used base yellow dye for coloring budget plastics, inks, waxes, and oils.
Basic Features
Premium Heat-Resistant Masterbatch

Weather-Resistant Printing Inks
Used in PVC films, synthetic leather, gift packaging, and stationery inks to provide a base yellowish-yellow tone. It delivers a uniform coating with fine halftone dots, making it perfect for high-volume packaging and educational supplies.
Premium Wood Finishes & Resin Casting
Perfect for coloring wooden bookmarks, keychains, and small ornaments while preserving the transparent wood grain. It creates natural light yellow, cream, and amber wood tones without obscuring the substrate’s texture, making it ideal for handcrafted woodwork and small-batch custom orders.
High-Temp Oils & Waxes
Suitable for coloring budget aromatherapy, sealing, and decorative waxes, ensuring uniform melt dispersion with minimal floating color upon cooling. It can also be used to dye light lubricants and fuels for easy grade identification.
Industrial Oil-Based Coloring
Used to formulate yellow highlighter inks, basic shoe polishes, leather restorers, and transparent aluminum coloring solutions. Highly stable at room temperature, it provides a sheer coating that fully preserves the substrate’s original texture.
