Solvent Violet 31 is a bluish-transparent, oil-soluble purple dye. It is highly compatible with all oil-based systems, including plastics, printing inks, wood coatings, and oils/waxes. It delivers excellent color matching stability for both small-scale sampling and mass production.

Basic Features

Transparent Plastic Coloring (Primary Application):
Compatible with ABS, PS, PMMA, and PVC for injection molding and extrusion processes. It features a clean, bluish-violet hue without any reddish or grayish cast. Ideal for creating transparent violet, taro purple, and navy purple plastic parts with zero color deviation and no haze after molding.

Dedicated Tinting for Solvent-based Inks:
A core complementary purple colorant used by ink manufacturers to formulate brown, gray, wine red, and purple shades, effectively stabilizing the color tone. Widely applied in gravure and screen printing packaging inks, label inks, and leather inks. It delivers clean printed dots without screen clogging, excellent migration resistance, and no color bleeding under lamination.

Transparent Wood Staining / Baking Finishes:
Offers excellent penetration and high transparency. Perfect for high-end antique wood tones, cool-toned purple-brown wood colors, and light-luxury transparent wood finishes. It prevents the finish from looking dull, milky, or obscuring the natural wood grain.

Coloring for Oils & Waxes:
Dissolves uniformly with no color floating or blooming on the surface. It is one of the most stable standard purple colorants for oil and wax-based products.
