Solvent Yellow 12 (C.I. 12700) is a versatile monoazo oil-soluble solvent yellow dye. Insoluble in water, it dissolves completely in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, and ketones, forming a clear solution free of precipitated impurities. Highly cost-effective and suitable for low-to-medium temperature processing, it offers excellent batch-to-batch color consistency. As a primary yellow tinting base, it is widely demanded in the market.

Basic Features

Cost-Effective Daily-Use Plastic Masterbatch
Compatible with standard transparent plastics for orange pen barrels, light-transmitting decor, basic cosmetic packaging, and small toys. Remains haze-free at 240°C. Serves as a red-toned primary yellow base for amber and olive shades. Not suitable for high-temperature engineering plastics.

Universal Packaging Inks
For screen and gravure printing on PVC films, laminated packaging, and synthetic leather. Creates a vintage orange base and blends with blue/black dyes for dark composite shades. Ensures smooth printing without clogging and prevents color migration in laminated packaging.

Antique Wood Finishes
