Solvent Blue 63 (C.I. 61520) is an anthraquinone-based oil-soluble solvent blue dye that is insoluble in water, but dissolves readily in esters, ketones, aromatics, oils, and oil-based resin systems. It exhibits good heat resistance, light fastness, and coloring stability, and is widely used for coloring plastics, inks, resins, waxes, and industrial oils.
