Basic Red 1 Chemical Properties

Basic red 1 is a kind of red powder basic dyes and soluble in water showing a crimson color with green fluorescence. It is soluble in ethanol showing a yellowish fluorescent red color. It turns yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns red after dilution. Its aqueous solution is added with sodium hydroxide to produce scarlet precipitate.

Basic Red 1 Usage

Basic red 1 is suitable for direct printing of silk and silk fabrics. It can be used for coloring leather and paper, as well as for preparing organic pigments.
