Pigment Violet 3 Paste is a triarylmethane lake organic pigment paste, commonly known as Fast Violet Lake. It presents a bright bluish-violet shade and develops a unique coppery luster after printing or coating. Characterized by high tinting strength, it is a semi-transparent pigment that is insoluble in both water and common organic solvents.
On the market, it is mostly processed into color pastes for use. It is widely consumed in the ink industry, making it ideal for formulating violet tones and enriching black shades. However, it is not suitable for high-temperature processing or prolonged outdoor UV exposure.

Pigment Violet 3 Paste Application:

Offset & Water-Based Flexographic Inks
Primarily used in commercial printing, color box packaging, and label inks. Printed products exhibit a distinct coppery luster. When added to black inks, it enhances blackness and transparency, making it a common additive in printing plants for formulating violet tones and enriching deep blacks. It is best suited for room-temperature printing and is not recommended for high-temperature baking systems.

Educational & Handicraft Color Pastes
Ideal for children’s art paints, ink pad pastes, and handicraft color pastes. Offering vibrant and transparent colors, it is widely used for indoor cultural and creative products, but is not recommended for outdoor applications.

Paper Coloration
Perfect for coloring special art papers and greeting card pulps, imparting a bluish-violet (cyan-violet) tone. It ensures uniform dispersion with minimal risk of mottling or spotting. Strictly for indoor paper use only.

Limited Coating Applications
Restricted to interior decorative paints and toy coatings. It must not be used in exterior wall paints or formulations requiring high weather resistance, as its lightfastness will further decrease when tinted or diluted.
