Direct Fast Black VSF Properties:

It is purple-black in concentrated sulphuric acid and produces black-brown precipitation after dilution, and red-brown solution in concentrated nitric acid with precipitation.

Water solubility is good, the water solution is purple-black, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid to produce brown-black precipitation, adding concentrated alkali solution to dark blue-light red.
