Use of Solvent Black 7:

Nigrosine Oil Soluble dye is widely used in dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics. When dyeing, cotton fabrics are dipped in a solution composed of aniline salts, and then oxidized to black. The dyes can withstand sunshine and rain, and are strong for hot soap solution and dilute bleaching powder solution. When over oxidized, it is blue-black and brittle. When oxidized insufficiently or reduced, it can turn green. At present, most of them are made into nigrosine black, which is sold as organic pigments. The products include Nigrosine Oil Soluble (hereinafter referred to as oil-soluble black), alcohol-soluble nigrosine black (hereinafter referred to as alcohol-soluble black) and so on. Used for coloring rubber, high-grade insulating bakelite, carbon paper, leather shoe polish etc.
