Character: Brown powder.
Solubility: Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and fiber soluble agents, almost insoluble in acetone, benzene and carbon tetrachloride. It turns brown in sulfuric acid and turns orange to yellow in nitric acid.
