Basic Rhodamine 6GDN CI basic red 1 dye is a kind of red color basic dyes. It has appearance of dark brown powder and soluble in water with green fluorescence scarlet. It is soluble in ethanol and has a yellow fluorescent red color. Basic rhodamine 6GDN is yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and red after dilution. Sodium hydroxide is added to the aqueous solution to produce scarlet precipitate.
