Waterbased Pigment Paste Used for Wood Coating

Waterbased pigment paste is a coloring system in water-based coatings, mainly composed of water-based resins, propylene glycol methyl ether, dimethylethanolamine, deionized water, defoamers, dispersants, pigments, and dust-proof agents. The production process includes weighing raw materials in proportion to their mass, stirring and dispersing them evenly under a high-speed disperser, adding other raw materials for dispersion, and finally forming a uniform color paste. Grinding process is used to achieve the required fineness.

Waterbased pigment paste can be divided into transparent pastes, semi transparent pastes, and solid color pastes, among which solid color pastes can be divided into high pigment content resin free system pastes and low pigment content resin system pastes. Water based pigment pastes are widely used in wood coatings and can be used for coloring wood. They have the characteristic of being difficult to wipe off after drying.

In addition, water-based pigment pastes can also be applied to the topcoat of automobiles and trucks.

Compared to oil-based colorants, water-based colorants are more environmentally friendly and have less impact on the environment and human health.

Overall, water-based pigment paste is an environmentally friendly, easy to apply, and good coloring system for coatings, widely used in the production of coatings in fields such as wood and automobiles.
