Solvent Black 7, also known as oil soluble nigrosine black, is a kind of dye and pigment. It is black ultra-fine powder, which is soluble in oil and paraffin.

Solvent black 7 is mainly used for shining oil of rubber shoes and latex.

Mainly used for coloring ink, grease, rubber toys and plastic products;

Used for coloring furniture paint, shoe polish, floor wax, automobile wax and grease;

For polyolefins, the heat resistance can reach 200 ℃, and frost spraying occurs when the concentration exceeds a certain concentration in soft PVC;

It can also be used in the coloring of elastomer and rubber;

It can be used for coloring viscose fiber and viscose sponges. The light resistance is grade 4-5.

Specific applications are as follows:

1) Prepare an alcohol soluble black dye formula with high color intensity, low viscosity and high coloring power.

The formula includes:

a) 20-45wt% propanol solvent;

b) 30-35wt% oil soluble nigrosine black dye;

c) 20-40wt% carboxylic acid;

d) 1-6wt% dye;

e) 1-3wt% of basic crystal violet, methyl violet base, or mixtures thereof; And

F) selectively, 0-5wt% of the ester cosolvent.

The dye formula is particularly suitable for writing instruments, such as felt nibs and ball pens.

2) A mould proof black shoe polish is prepared, which is characterized in that it comprises the following components by weight: 20-30 parts of walnut oil, 15-20 parts of tea tree oil, 2-5 parts of oxidized polyethylene wax, 5-10 parts of crude lignite wax, 20-30 parts of eucalyptus oil, 1-5 parts of oil-soluble solvent black dyes, 1-2 parts of basil extract, 5-10 parts of mould inhibitor and residual water. The mildew proof black shoe polish volatilizes quickly on the leather shoes, is not easy to dye ash, has good gloss and can prevent the leather shoes from mildew.
