Vat Violet 2R C.I. Vat Violet 1 is a high-performance anthraquinone based vat dyes.
Its core value lies in its ability to provide extremely bright purple and unparalleled color fastness, especially sun and water fastness.
Despite its complex dyeing process, high cost, and certain environmental considerations, vat violet 2R remains one of the irreplaceable preferred dyes in high-end textiles, outdoor products, and industrial fabrics that require extremely high levels of color vividness and durability.
So how to use vat violet 2R dyeing fabric?
1. Reduction and dissolution: The dye is reduced in a solution containing sodium hydroxide and sodium hydrosulfite, usually at a temperature of 50-60 ℃, to form a dark color solution (at which point the color will turn yellow or other colors).
2. Dyeing: Immerse the pre wetted fabric in the latent dye solution at 50-60 ℃ for adsorption.
3. Oxidation: Expose the dyed fabric to air or use an oxidation bath to oxidize the latent color within the fibers, restoring it to an insoluble purple dye.
4. Soap boiling: Boiling with soap solution to remove floating colors, improve the aggregation stability and color fastness of dyes, and make hair more vibrant.
5. Water washing and drying: Finally, perform thorough water washing and drying.
