◆ Basic rhodamine b is used for the dyeing of acrylic fiber:

The pH value has a great influence. The dye bath generally uses acetic acid and sodium acetate to adjust the pH level in the range of 2.5 to 5.5, and the shade is relatively stable. However, when the pH value is below 2.5, the shade will change. During dyeing, the dyeing rate at pH 5.5 in the dye bath is lower than that at pH 3.2, because this product is an amphoteric dye with both carboxyl and tertiary in its molecular structure. When the pH value of the medium is high, the ionization tendency of the carboxyl group of the dye molecule increases, and the ionization tendency of the tertiary amine group decreases. The ionized carboxyl group in the dye molecule and the acidic group in the acrylic molecule are both due to Anionic, mutually exclusive, and when the pH of the medium is low, the situation is just the opposite, so the dye uptake is high. If the dye bath is required to be stable, a dilute solution of sulfuric acid or formic acid can be used. The light fastness is 3 to 4, the soaping fastness is 4, the perspiration fastness is 4, the ironing fastness is 4, and the dry rubbing fastness is 4 . The wet rubbing fastness is 3 to 4, and the dry cleaning fastness is 4 to 5.

◆ Basic rhodamine b CAS 81-88-9 is used for dyeing cotton:

Tannin coal can be used to dye cotton fibers, but the color fastness is very poor, with light fastness of level 1 to 2, and soaping staining fastness of level 3. The color fastness to water immersion is 2 to 3, the color fastness to perspiration is 1 level, the ironing fastness is 4 to 5, the fastness to sulfuric acid and acetic acid is 4, and the fastness to soda ash is 3 to 4.

◆ Basic rhodamine b is used for dyeing other substances:

In the paper industry, it is used for dyeing wax paper, typing paper, glossy paper, etc.; it reacts with phosphotungstomolybdic acid to produce precipitates for the manufacture of paints and painting pigments; it is also used for dyeing of hemp, straw, and leather materials.
