Malachite green crystal is soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, blue-green, yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, dark orange after dilution.
(I) general performance of basic malachite green
Green with flash crystal. It is easy to dissolve in water and ethanol, all of which are blue-green. The dye is yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns dark orange after dilution. It is orange in concentrated nitric acid and turns orange brown after dilution. Sodium hydroxide is added to its aqueous solution to produce a white precipitate with green light. The color is dyed at high temperature (120 ℃), and the color light remains unchanged. The fastness of dyeing on acrylic fiber is grade 4-5.
(II) There are two conditions for basic malachite green
One is to have color; the other is to have affinity with the dyed tissue. The color of the dye and its affinity with the tissue are determined by the molecular structure of the dye itself. The chromophore generating color and the chromophore generating affinity with the tissue jointly determine the dyeing properties of the dye.
